P.S. We are not to see England just yet after all. We were informed this morning that we are to land in Egypt & are to stay there until spring, when we are to go to the front. I don't know yet whether I'm glad or sorry. I am pleased at the idea of seeing Egypt for it has always had a fascination for me. We may also see active service. One never knows what is behind Kitchener's moves, & a bit of active service there would be a great thing for us, as it would give us our baptism of fire, & then when we got to the front in Europe we should be perfectly steady under fire. Will write as soon as we get settled down. We will probably land next Wednesday & I suppose we will go into barracks in Cairo. Don't forget the change of address when you write. Love Vernie
